Answering your cell phone while sitting front row at a show is hardly considered proper Fashion Week etiquette.

A notable exception to the rule would be when Jessica Chastain answered a call before the start of Tuesday's Giorgio Armani Privé haute couture presentation to learn she'd been nominated for an Oscar.

Being recognized by the Academy is surreal for any actor, but Chastain was then treated to a standing ovation from A-list show-goers including Cameron Diaz and Roberta Armani.

Also witness to the spectacle were Colin Firth's wife, Livia, and Vogue Italia editor, Franca Sozzani, who relayed the moment via Twitter.

"Super congrats #JessicaChastain sitting next to me #Armani and just heard about her #Oscars nominations!," she Tweeted, while Sozzani posted a candid shot of the actress (above).

The best supporting nod marks 30-year-old Chastain's first Oscar nomination, which she received for her role as the naïve Celia Foote in the ensemble drama, The Help.
