Adriana Lima, 30, tells PEOPLE. "If my husband sends them to me at home, I'll be very happy. There's nothing better than to receive flowers from someone you love."
The Brazilian supermodel
, who will be appearing in a Teleflora
ad during the Super Bowl on Sunday, said she prefers receiving gifts that are "very elegant, very thoughtful and very romantic" from husband of three years, Marko Jaric, 33.
"Valentine's Day means giving and receiving love in all different forms," the mom to daughter Valentina
, 2. "I think men should touch a woman's emotions. I love kisses, hugs ... all that good stuff!"
Another piece of advice she has for those hoping to woo someone on the big day? "Go a little more old-fashioned and include a handwritten note," she advised. "It's really touching and more direct."
And though the model's preferred gift on Valentine's Day is a bouquet of roses, one priceless present she received three years ago can never be topped.
"[It] was my wedding day
and it was very romantic," she said. "I will carry that memory with me for the rest of my life."
