Put away the Swarovski-encrusted boxing gloves – Jennifer Aniston
and Angelina Jolie
aren't feuding over Brad Pitt
, the former Friends
stars says definitively.
Answering a question about what the press gets most wrong about her in the March issue
, on newsstands Friday, Aniston pooh-poohs the ever-swirling rumors
that she bears a grudge against Jolie.
"The triangle with my ex-husband – and that there's a feud there. It's constant. It's a story headline that won't go away, but it's a money thing," says Aniston, adding that people in the media make money off "a story that has nothing to do with reality."
On a more pleasant subject, Aniston said her relationship with Justin Theroux
is going strong and says she's in a "joyful and peaceful" place in her life.
Asked what she likes about Theroux's fashion sense, she says, "First of all, he has great style – it's very specific and it has been his style forever."
However, Aniston insists she's not copying Theroux's look. "I know people say ... 'Oh, look, you're dressing alike.' And I think, No I'm not. I've had this jacket for three years!"
As for filming her new movie Wanderlust
, which also stars Theroux, Aniston says it was "one of the most idyllic film experiences I've ever had" and describes the cast as "a family."
Aniston – who is known for her age-defying figure – also says she feels young "every day," but is sometimes surprised by the fact that she's indeed getting older.
"You know what makes me feel old? When I see girls who are 20-something, or the new crop of actresses, and think, 'Aren't we kind of the same age?' " Aniston, who is 42, says. "You lose perspective. Or being offered the part of a woman with a 17-year-old child. It's like, "I'm not old enough to have a 17-year-old!" And then you realize, well, yeah, you are."
