Robin Thicke is singing the blues.

The R&B singer was arrested for possession of marijuana in New York City, the Daily News reports.

Thicke, 34, was arrested just after noon on Friday by officers who saw him smoking a joint in a black Cadillac Escalade. The singer was in the car with another person, but only Thicke was arrested.

"He wasn’t driving," a police source tells the newspaper. "He was sitting in the car. He was arrested and a small amount of marijuana was recovered on him."

According to CBS News, Thicke was given a desk appearance ticket and released.

His rep had no comment.

Thicke is married to Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol star Paula Patton. The couple have a 22-month-old son, Julian Fuego.
