Scarlett Johansson Is Stepping into the Psycho Shower
How about a look-back to Tinseltown's glorious and goriest past with Scarlett Johansson and Anthony Hopkins, who are set to costar in the upcoming Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, reports Variety.
Johansson will play leading lady Janet Leigh, who took the screen's most famous shower in the 1960 classic of its genre. James D'Arcy (Madonna's W.E.) will play Anthony Perkins, whose acting career never quite recovered after he was typecast as Norman Bates, a motel owner with something of a mother complex.
Hopkins will play the rotund British director who loved a good murder as much as he loved the movies, and Oscar winner Helen Mirren will play Alma Hitchcock, the director's wife and guiding post.
According to the trade publication, the film will be directed by Sacha Gervasi, whose screenwriting credits include 2004's The Terminal with Tom Hanks. And, according to the Internet Movie Database, he was born in 1966 – six years after Psycho was originally released, and shocked the world.
