Ashton Kutcher is due to play Steve Jobs in the indie movie Jobs, which is scheduled to start shooting in May, says the Hollywood Reporter.
The trade paper – noting that the Two and a Half Men star bears an uncanny resemblance to the Apple co-founder, who died in October – says the movie, to be directed by Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote) from a script by Matt Whiteley, will trace Jobs's rise from Northern California hippie to computer innovator.
Another movie about Jobs is also in the pipeline, based on Walter Isaacson's best-selling biography and being prepared by Sony Pictures, though this biopic starring Kutcher is looking to be first out of the gate.
