No, it's not 1980, and you're not re-experiencing the music video for "Turning Japanese" by The Vapors.
In Tokyo on Friday, Johnny Depp came face to face with Japan's leading Depp impersonator, Ken Shimizu.
Wearing Depp's signature goatee, fedora and chunky rings and necklaces, Shimizu waded through the sea of fans who welcomed the actor, 48, who had just arrived at Narita airport to attend the Japanese premiere of Dark Shadows, the U.K.'s Daily Mail reports.
Shimizu managed to catch his doppelganger's eye and get an autograph before melting back into the crowd.
Notably absent: a Japanese Vanessa Paradis impersonator.
