Memorial Day: Summer Drink Recipes Are Sizzling

Memorial Day marks the unofficial beginning of summer, but just in case your invitation to George Clooney's Italian villa has yet to arrive, fear not.

Here are recipes for some festive, warm-weather beverages that will leave you feeling like a star.

Coco Fizz
• 1 oz. SKYY Infusions Coconut
• ½ oz. simple syrup
• 2 splashes of orange bitters
• 1 sugar cube
• Sparkling Rosé
Pour SKYY Infusions Coconut into a shaker and add ice. Shake vigorously. Place one sugar cube into a champagne flute and top with orange bitters and SKYY Infusions Coconut. Then top with the champagne. Stir ingredients in the glass with a long spoon, but do not crush the sugar cube (this will create the fizz). Garnish with an orange peel. (This cocktail was created by Moses Laboy, mixologist at Marcus Samuelsson's New York restaurant Red Rooster.)

Cucumber Margarita
• Ready-made margarita mix (Recipe calls for VnC's Margarita)
• Lime
• Salt
• Cucumber slice
In a frozen margarita glass, rub a lime along the glass's rim. Roll in the salt, and pour the margarita mix into the glass. Garnish with the cucumber slice.



The Russian Standard Moscow Mule
• 1.5 oz. Russian Standard Vodka
• 5 oz. ginger beer
• 1 lime wedge
• ginger syrup (house-made)
Build cocktail over ice in your mug (such as the Russian Standard Copper Mug). Squeeze lime wedge over drink. Also available at Andaz Wall Street's Bar Seven Five in New York.

CASCAL Crisp-tini
• 1 oz. Midori Melon
• 1 oz. vodka
• 1 oz. Bacardi Limon
• 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
• 1 can of CASCAL (crisp white soft drink)
Mix the ingredients together, and pour over ice.
