A lake, a boat and a beverage – that's all that Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild needs when she's planning the perfect summer day.

The musician and her band are debuting their latest music video for new single "Pontoon" on, and a closer look reveals Fairchild and bandmate Kimberly Roads Schlapman perusing PEOPLE Country's hottest guys issue (featuring Blake Shelton) while lounging on the pontoon boat.

"Kimberly and I were picking out what we'd be doing on a pontoon and we'd be reading PEOPLE [and] drinking a beverage." Fairchild says.

The video was filmed at Percy Priest Lake in Nashville. "There's a famous part of the lake [that] people call 'party cove' – [which is] a great place to dock boats and party," says Fairchild.

As for Shelton's brief cameo in the video, well, it's news to him, says Fairchild. "I can't wait for Blake and [wife] Miranda [Lambert] to see it," she tells PEOPLE. "They're good friends of ours, and they don't know about the magazine in the video."

Karen and Kimberly – along with bandmates Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook (Karen's husband) – are nominated for a CMT Award and will be taking the stage at the June 6 ceremony to perform "Pontoon" live.
