He arrived as a kindergartner in 1999. And on Friday, Patrick Schwarzenegger graduated from the Brentwood School in Los Angeles – joyful, a little bit flabbergasted, and ready for the next phase of his life.
"Just graduated high school!! So crazy. Can't believe this is all over," Schwarzenegger, 18, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, wrote on Twitter.
He also posted a photo of himself posing with his mom.
"Been a crazy ride but I'm finally graduated," he wrote.
The family threw a graduation party on Friday, where the special guests included California Highway Patrol officers who had worked with Patrick's father when he was governor.
Schwarzenegger will attend
the University of Southern California this fall, but he's already mulling his career choices. "Actually thinking of becoming a magician," he wrote this weekend
on Twitter. "I really want to know the secrets behind magic. It's the most frustrating thing ever."
