Betty White (left) and Betty White in wax
In front of fans screaming, "You're amazing," former Golden Girl
Betty White unveiled her very own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hollywood on Monday.
"The only thing that irks me is they waited until I was 90," the TV legend joked as the crowd chuckled. "A few decades ago would have been swell."
Dressed in a bright pink blazer with perfectly coiffed hair, White matched the color of her replica, which was clad in a hot pink tracksuit.
"I think they did a wonderful job," the Hot in Cleveland
star told PEOPLE of putting together her mirror image. "I'm really amazed. I'm so impressed. I don't know how they do this, but it's a tremendous honor and I appreciate it."
White has just one
"She won't look at me," the actress lightheartedly complained. "I keep talking to her, but she won't turn her head."
As fans continued to cheer and surround the roped-off area in which White sat, the always-humble star didn't seem to understand the big fuss.
"I don't know about [people] being that fond of me," she said. "I'm just the luckiest person on the face of the earth. At 90, to have this kind of an honor is amazing."
Fitting in with the color theme of the day, each guest given access to the unveiling was treated to a complimentary hot dog from Pink's.
White is having a newsworthy week. The season finale of Hot in Cleveland
airs Wed. at 10 p.m. on TV Land. David Spade and Regis Philbin will guest star.
