Miley Cyrus Takes a Dip in Miami with a Male Pal

Miley is making music – and waves – in Miami.

On a break from a recording session on Tuesday, the singer was spotted in an itsy-bitsy white bikini by the pool of her Miami hotel, the Delano in South Beach. And she was with a guy ... who wasn't her fiancé.

But it was an innocent hangout.

According to E! News, the gentleman in the pool is Cheyne Thomas, a long-time friend and part-time assistant of Miley's. Says her rep: "There's no story there."

"So now because I am engaged I can't have a friend of the opposite sex?" the "Party in the U.S.A." singer Tweeted in response to Internet buzz about her male companion. "Can't have a friend help me out while I'm working alllll day? #dumb."

Miley's fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, is currently in New Orleans shooting Empire State.
