Judging from a photo that has caused quite a commotion online, it appears 11-year-old Smith got her tongue pierced, alongside a friend who pierced her labret (facial lip).
But according to Gossip Cop, the backlash is unnecessary.
"It isn't a piercing, it's a magnet," a source close to the Smith family tells the website. "Just a young girl having fun with accessories."
