Sofia Vergara Celebrates 40th Birthday in Mexico

Taking a break from her acting projects, Sofia Vergara got a chance to relax in Mexico over the weekend in anticipation of her 40th birthday, which is on Tuesday.

Jetting off to Rosewood Mayakoba spa resort in the Riviera Maya, Vergara was spotted visiting the Fort San Miguel in Campeche alongside her on-again beau Nick Loeb on Friday.

That night, the actress posted a photo on her WhoSay account showing a clean dinner plate and a bobblehead figurine in her image. "I have my own bubble head! Gracias Chi," she Tweeted.

The day before, Vergara Tweeted a photo as she and her traveling companions (which also included her son Manolo) were boarding a plane. "Here we come Mexico lindo!!! My happy birth day trip is about to start," she wrote.



In lieu of gifts, the Modern Family star is asking that everyone donate to her charity, Dreams Without Borders, a non-profit organization dedicated to instilling hope and inspiration into the lives of orphans in Vergara's home country of Colombia.

Fans can personally contribute towards Vergara's birthday charity of choice on her customized Giftiki page by donating a small amount or by signing and drawing on a collaborative eCard.

Meanwhile, her birthday festivities are expected to continue all weekend.
