Travis Barker Still Struggles with Fear of Flying after Fatal Crash
"It's something I want to overcome," Barker, 36, tells Red Bulletin. "And my kids are scared to death to fly. I want them to witness me overcome it."
Barker even knows what airline he's going to take for his first flight.
"I'm contemplating getting knocked out and getting on a plane to Australia," says Barker. "When I do, I think it's going to be Qantas. They never had a crash, never had a fatality – knock on wood."
Barker is all about his children right now. Not only does he drop off Landon, 8, and Alabama, 6, at school every day, but he also has tattoos dedicated to them.
The focus on his kids follows a rough post-crash period for Barker, in which close friend Goldstein (also known as DJ AM) died of an accidental overdose and Barker weaned himself off prescription medication.
The rest of the time, Barker has spent running his own clothing label, Famous Stars and Straps, and working on new music. Also, earlier this week, he began a European tour with Blink-182. He traveled there by ship.
