Brooke Parkhurst and James Briscione, the husband-wife duo behind newlywed kitchen guide Just Married and Cooking, created a tween-friendly recipe with a kick and a full day's supply of Vitamin C.
Plus, the fresh ginger, mint and seltzer make this concoction taste like a good-for-you champagne cocktail ... without the calories. Says Parkhurst: "It's great to make ahead for any TV viewing party – the longer you let this mixture chill out in the fridge, the more the flavors will improve."
Honest Mint-Mango Spritz(Serves 24)
2 16.9-oz. bottles of Orange Mango juice (like Honest Ade Orange Mango Organic Fruit Juice)
1 lemon, sliced
2 to 3 tablespoons fresh ginger, thinly sliced
4 branches fresh mint
2 tablespoons organic sugar
Place the sliced lemons, ginger, mint and sugar in a pitcher. Stir vigorously with a wooden spoon until the sugar is dissolved. Add the Honest Ade and stir again to combine. Refrigerate until ready to serve, up to 48 hours.
To serve: Fill glasses with ice. Add juice to glasses and finish with a splash of seltzer. Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh mint.
