Orphaned Kangaroo and Wombat Comfort Each Other

They may be two different species but these babies have so much in common: both are orphans in need of love.

Anzac the eastern grey Kangaroo and Peggy the wombat have been enjoying each other's company since workers at the Wildlife Kilmore Rescue Center in Victoria, Australia, paired them together. Now they share a pouch where they kiss, cuddle and comfort each other.

The duo's carer, Lisa Milligan, says the friends love to listen to each other's heartbeats.

"There are lots of baby animals about at the moment, and they are orphaned for a range of reasons," Milligan told the Daily Mail. There's no denying it, this friendship was meant to be!
