Pink Admits She Used to Sneak Out of the House to Watch MTV

Pink's face might be all over MTV nowadays, but there was once a time when she was on the other side of the TV screen.

Or at least she tried to be.

"My mom never used to let me watch MTV as a little girl," says the pop star, who will be performing at MTV's Video Music Awards for the third time this September.

"I would watch it anyway, but she would also try and ground me," says Pink, 32. "I would just sneak out my window and go to someone's house that had MTV. So to be on MTV is quite ironic."

The "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" singer – who recently admitted to regularly crying over daughter Willow – is set to debut a new song from her upcoming sixth studio album at the awards ceremony, which will air Sept. 6 at 8 p.m. Comedian Kevin Hart is slated to host.
