However tough and tight the race against President Obama gets this fall, Janna Ryan predicts that her husband Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney can count on one thing: fun.
PEOPLE was first to sit down with the freshly minted Republican presidential ticket and their wives on Sunday morning, 24 hours after Romney announced the 42-year-old Wisconsin congressman
as his pick for a running mate.
The two candidates, Mrs. Ryan and Romney's wife, Ann, laughed easily aboard their campaign bus between stops in North Carolina.
Asked what Romney should know about her husband's work style and personal habits, Mrs. Ryan said: "You know, he's pretty low-maintenance. Paul is someone who goes with the flow and has one of the sunniest demeanors and most positive outlooks of anyone I've ever met. So I'd say Mitt'll probably have a lot of fun with him."
