Former Double Dare host Marc Summers was involved in a serious car accident last week that resulted in several broken bones in his face.
According to TMZ, Summers, 60, was riding as a passenger in a taxi in Philadelphia, when the car hydroplaned and ended up out of control, causing Summers to fly into the vehicle's plastic partition.
Summers, who currently hosts Food Network's Unwrapped, underwent emergency plastic surgery following the incident and told TMZ that he hasn't looked in the mirror yet.
While fellow Food Network regulars such as Michael Symon and Bobby Flay have reached out to offer their help – and food! – longtime friends like Ryan Seacrest have also sent their well wishes.
"Just heard from my friend Marc Summers," Seacrest Tweeted. "He was in a serious accident – cab he was in hydroplaned. Docs say he'll be ok. Wish him well."
Summers responded: "Thanks for all the kind words. Hanging in there."
