Remember Blair Warner, the spoiled rich girl on the 80s sitcom The Facts of Life?
Prepare to see her in a whole new light.
Lisa Whelchel, the former teen actress who played Blair for nine seasons – from 1979 to 1988 – will compete against 17 other contestants on Survivor: Philippines. Now 49, Whelchel is a prominentChristian author and mother of three, not to mention a longtime fan of the reality competition.
But the actress won't be the only familiar player to try to backstab and scheme her way to a million dollar prize on the 25th season of the long-running show.
Former San Francisco Giants second baseman Jeff Kent and 2011 Miss Delaware USA Katie Hanson will also be competing, along with a sex therapist, a track coach, a cosmetologist and a seminary student. Three returning players who were eliminated from previous seasons will also join the cast. (The returning players will be announced later this week.)
Survivor: Phillipines will premiere with a special 90-minute episode Wednesday, September 19 on CBS.
