Robin Roberts has some doctor's orders that most patients would love to hear.

"Doctors orders to put on a lil weight ... that's a first," the Good Morning America anchor, currently on extended medical leave to treat her myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), Tweeted – a week after she said a temporary goodbye to viewers on the ABC morning show.

Roberts, 51, also said in her Tweet: "Back home in NYC. Will rest a few days ... Transplant now sched for next week. Onward."

Roberts's sister, Sally, is her bone-marrow donor. Together they also faced the loss of their mother, Lucimarian Tolliver Roberts, last Thursday, Aug. 30. She was 88 and had been in ill health.

She has since paid tribute to her late mother on her Facebook page, writing on Sept. 4, "Momma found a way to be with me every step of the way on my journey. I am humbled by her selflessness."

"Today I was supposed to be admitted to the hospital," Roberts continued at the time. "Instead I am here in Mississippi standing proudly with my family as we honor our beloved mother and celebrate her life. When I return to NYC and walk through those hospital doors next week momma will be right there with me."
