All About Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds's Wedding Chef

Sources tell PEOPLE the Savages star – who tied the knot with her Green Lantern costar Ryan Reynolds in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., this weekend – chose Mike Lata, chef and partner of FIG restaurant in Charleston, S.C., to cater the couple's wedding.
The self-taught chef is a native New Englander who enjoys "creating food that is bright, uncomplicated and understated," according to his online biography. And he is known for local produce harvested from Lata's own backyard, the South Carolina Low Country.
"I couldn't imagine being in this business and not having that connection to the seasons," Lata told ABC in 2010.
Landing in Charleston in 1998 after working in kitchens in Boston, New Orleans, Atlanta and France, Lata took home the James Beard Best Chef: Southeast award in 2009.
And it turns out the Gossip Girl star's chef of choice has seen a bit of tube time as well: Lata's been featured on Food Network's The Best Thing I Ever Ate and competed on Iron Chef America.
