After a source told the Associated Press
will take the stage at the halftime show during Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3 in New Orleans, the superstar officially confirmed the news herself with a post on her official website
Beyoncé made the announcement via a photograph in which the date Feb. 3, 2013, is written on her face in the style of a football player sporting eye black. At the top of the page, the announcement reads: "Countdown to Touchdown."
