The Twilight Saga might be coming to a close, but Robert Pattinson's career continues to make headlines.

Deadline confirmed that Pattinson will star opposite Carey Mulligan in Hold On To Me, the inspired-by-true-events story of a kidnapping gone wrong directed by James Marsh (who won Oscars for his films Man On Wire and Project Nim). The steamy crime drama follows a couple who kidnap the richest man in town for ransom and bury him.

Glee and Gossip Girl also announced a slew of cameos, while Aaron Paul secured a very different film role for the Breaking Bad star.

• Bette Midler will make her debut on Glee as Rachel Berry's (played by Lea Michele) grandmother Vulture reports, while American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez will play the object of Finn's desire (played by Cory Monteith) says TV Line.

Arrow's Katie Cassidy will reprise her role as Juliet Sharp on Gossip Girl for the series's final season, reports Entertainment Weekly. Taylor Momsen will also make a cameo, reports the Huffington Post.

Aaron Paul has signed on to put the pedal to the metal in the movie adaptation of Dreamworks' Need for Speed, due out in 2014, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.

• Kristen Wiig, Hailee Steinfeld, Guy Pearce and Nick Nolte will star in the film adaptation of the book Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage which will be called Hateship, Friendship when it hits theaters, THR reports.
