Those living in the path of Hurricane Sandy heard the same message from government officials and loved ones alike: Stay inside.

But Alec Baldwin braved the worsening weather Monday afternoon – for his four-legged friends.

The actor, 54, sans wife Hilaria Thomas, was spotted walking two pint-sized pooches – Gitana and another pup – on the streets of N.Y.C., according to BuzzFeed. He carried no umbrella – not even a raincoat.

At least 26 deaths in seven states were linked to the storm, reports the New York Times, and Baldwin shared his sentiments over the severity of the situation on Twitter, asking, "What, as a society, do we do in response to this?"

After losing power, he wrote, "No lights here, no Internet. My wife @hilariabaldwin and I, sitting in the dark wondering where is the storm? No jokes please)."
