It was a rough night on The Voice
Thursday, when the winners and the losers of the play-off rounds were revealed. Based on the results from America's votes and the celebrity coaches' decision, only three out of each team of five will continue on to the top 12.
The night kicked off with Team Adam and Team Blake joining for a performance of Kelly Clarkson's
"Stronger." Then came the moment of truth for Adam Levine's singers.

America saved Amanda Brown and Bryan Keith, but Levine struggled to make the next cut. "I believe wholeheartedly in all five of my team members," he said. But when deciding between Melanie Martinez, Joselyn Rivera and Loren Allred, Levine couldn't let go of Martinez, who was often praised by her coach for her unique vocals.
"I'm so excited and sick right now," Blake Shelton Tweeted
when his team's turn came up. Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope earned America's vote, and Shelton kept Michaela Paige, leaving Julio Cesar Castillo and Liz Davis to pack their bags.
Team Christina Aguilera
and Team Cee Lo Green kicked off the second half of the night with a performance of Train's "Drive By," giving the female coach a moment to collect herself before making her decision.
"Don't let anyone's opinion ever define who you are," she told her group of women. Aguilera decided that Adriana Louise's talent deserved a second chance, and De'borah and Devyn DeLoera went home. Viewers saved Dez Duron and Sylvia Yacoub.
Trevin Hunte and Nicholas David made it through on Team Cee Lo, thanks to the fans. "I respect each and every one of you as individuals," Green said before making his decision to save the act who had improved the most: Cody Belew, who beat out MacKenzie Bourg and Diego Val.
The top 12 performances air Monday.
