Fans of both are getting a much-anticipated first glimpse this week as Brad Pitt returns to the screen in a just-released trailer for World War Z", a horror film about a futuristic zombie apocalypse.
In the much-anticipated movie, based on the best-selling book by Max Brooks, Pitt, 48, plays Gerald Lane, a family man and U.N. researcher who gets torn from protecting his wife and children as he must heroically help save the world from zombie takeover. (See trailer below.)
Scenes from the sci-fi thriller show colonies of people in survivalist mode, some living on water even, as they attempt to avoid the hordes of zombie predators.
The reportedly $180 million film, also starring Mireille Enos and Matthew Fox and directed by Marc Forster, was originally set for holiday release this year. But after reshoots and other editing and production revisions, it's now expected in theaters this coming June.
