When it comes to celebrating the holidays at Miranda Lambert
and Blake Shelton's
house, Christmas has gone to the dogs.
"All the dogs get their individually wrapped gifts," she told PEOPLE. "They're spoiled!"
In fact, wrapping presents for their six rescue pooches
– Delilah, Delta Dawn, Jessi, Waylon, Dixie and Molly – and friends and family has become part of an annual tradition for the country couple at their Tishomingo, Okla., home.
"We usually have one night where we are by ourselves before Christmas when we wrap all the gifts," Lambert said at Monday's taping of the CMT Artists of the Year concert, airing Saturday at 10/9 p.m. CT. "We started [it] three or four years ago … Now it's our date night!"
And lucky for the singer, Shelton is no slouch in the gift-wrapping department.
"He actually helps me," she said, before admitting the couple does tend to favor bags over traditional wrap.
"It's easier," said Lambert, "and you can use them next year, too."
