Katie Holmes kicked off her 34th birthday celebration Tuesday with daughter Suri Cruise by her side. The pair enjoyed breakfast at New York City's Sugar and Plumm bistro and bakery, on the Upper West Side.
The duo ordered the silver dollar pancakes and eggs Benedict, but saved room for dessert: After their meal, Holmes was treated to a surprise birthday cake created by pastry chef Pichet Ong. The dreamy confection was made of vanilla sponge cake layered with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream, and said "Happy Birthday Katie" on top. – Carlos Greer
