It's a Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake faceoff!
On Thursday, the newlywed singer-actor, 31, released an announcement in which he alluded to plans to release new music.
"I think I'M READY," Timberlake Tweeted, accompanied by a video that shows him walking into a studio and explaining why he hasn't made a solo record since 2006's Futuresex/Lovesounds.
Meanwhile, the Destiny's Child frontwoman, also 31, announced on her Facebook page the same day that her former pop group will be releasing its first original song in eight years.
The tune "Nuclear" will appear on Destiny's Child – Love Songs, a greatest hits compilation of their most romantic recordings, set for release on Jan. 29.
