She said what
On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
, Brandi Glanville
often comes under fire for being so outspoken.
But in her new book, Drinking & Tweeting
, the 40-year-old is telling her side of the story on everything from plastic surgery to her highly publicized split with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian – and pulling out all the stops.
Here are the four most shocking things in Glanville's new book:
Cibrian served as inspiration
Although their marriage is over, Glanville still shows gratitude to Cibrian, with whom she has two children, Mason, 9, and Jake, 5. "I would like to thank my ex-husband, Edward Cibrian, for giving me all the material I could ever need to write this book and for helping me discover the strong independent woman inside of me."
Life after divorce was anything but easy
It may seem like Glanville lives a glamorous life on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
, but she admits she struggled after her divorce. "Not until we started the divorce did I realize how truly broke we were," she writes. "I was a jobless, homeless, mother of two living out of her $1,200-a-month SUV and couch-surfing from one hospitable friend to the next."
Readers are headed straight for the bedroom
Although their relationship ultimately ended in divorce, Glanville writes that she and Cibrian shared a passionate sex life. In one instance, Glanville writes about a romp in her closet, "Without saying so much as a word, he started kissing me all over. He pulled off my workout pants and we started having sex right there in front of Manolo, Christina and Jimmy."
Her surprising surgery ... and who picked up the tab
Glanville shares that she underwent "intense" vaginal rejuvenation surgery following her split. "The pretty intense surgery had an even more intense price tag: $12,000 ... A brand new vagina would be an Eddie-free vagina," she writes. "I understand that, to many of you, this may seem like an extreme measure to cut someone out of your life. But I've always been an extreme kind of girl, with extreme emotions."
She continues, "I decided that since Eddie had ruined my vagina for me, he could pay for a new one," she writes, explaining that she charged the procedure onto her ex's credit card. "A week after the vaginal rejuvenation surgery, he was on the phone screaming, 'What the f–– cost you $12,000? Did you get a nose job?' I responded simply, 'Yes. A nose job.' And I hung up."
