The spot – which told the sentimental tale of a farm boy who raises a fuzzy-wuzzy foal – was one of this year's most memorable Super Bowl ads, and stars fessed up to being verklempt as they watched.
"And yes, as we've already established, the #Clydesdale commercial was the best ever! I cried. So what?" actress Sophia Bush shared Monday on Twitter.
Late Night host Jimmy Fallon gave the tearjerker a thumbs up in a Tweet ("Budweiser has done it again. Well done. #Clydesdales"), which American Reunion star Shannon Elizabeth shared on her Twitter feed, adding, "Agreed! Tears."
Actress Katee Sackhoff admitted to waterworks too. "#budweiser commercial...I cried #justsayin," she wrote Sunday on Twitter.
TV tough guys weren't immune to the commercial's charms either. Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino thought the spot was better than the nail-biter Ravens-49ers matchup itself. "The horse commercial was the best part of the game so far," he Tweeted.
While the ad was accused of being overly sentimental by some, actress Bo Derek, an avid horse lover, disagreed.
"Some of you might find this new Budweiser Clydesdale commercial too hokey," she wrote on Twitter last week when the spot was released, "but I get it."
