The reality TV road has not ended for Sean Lowe.
Fresh off the heels of a successful season as ABC's The Bachelor
, Lowe, 29, has joined another hit show on the same network: Dancing with the Stars
Tuesday's Good Morning America
announced that the Dallas heartthrob will hit the dance floor on March 18 alongside returning pro, Peta Murgatroyd, when the show returns for its16th season.
"Hopefully, I won't make a fool of myself on the dance floor," Lowe said.
With Lowe joins the cast
of Dancing with the Stars
, the reality TV heartthrob brings an important element of The Bachelor
with him – the support of new fiancé Catherine Giudici.
"When they asked me, the first thing I did was call Catherine because I wanted to make sure she was on board and was fully supportive," Lowe tells PEOPLE. "I didn't want her to feel left out. I wanted her to know that she was going to be involved and she's going to be a big part of this with me."
Giudici added that she'll be Lowe's "biggest cheerleader" and is happy to practice with her man.
"I used to take a lot of dance classes and I would like to revisit that, even if it’s with him in a living room. Because I want to see what he’s been practicing! It's exciting," she says.
Lowe follows in the footsteps of fellow Bachelor
franchise stars Jake Pavelka, Melissa Rycroft – who won Dancing's all-star season
– and Trista Sutter.
The remaining cast members
, including Wynonna Judd, Kellie Pickler
, Jacoby Jones and PEOPLE's newest blogger, Lisa Vanderpump, were all announced on Feb. 26.
