Pets in danger: have no fear, Miranda Lambert
The country singer – and avid animal lover
– rescued an adorable pooch
from the side of the highway in Tishomingo, Okla., on Tuesday. Now she's helping him find a home.
"He was in the middle of the hwy with his food bowl and bed," she Tweeted
. "If it wasn't an accident someone is really sick."
The proud pet parent of an ever-expanding brood of dogs
herself, Lambert, 29, is now caring for the stray until he finds a home. But until then, she's decided to give him a name.
"I'm calling him 'Pistol Andy' in honor of the [Pistol Annies] record [Annie Up
] being announced today!" she added
. Here's hoping the pup, nicknamed 'lil Andy,' finds a forever home soon.
