Except Brooke Burke-Charvet doesn't really want to go back there.
"The 40s are a reality check," the Dancing with the Stars co-host, 41, admits in the April issue of Health, on newsstands March 15.
"I would like to slow down my aging process, but I don't want to look like a pumpkin, all swollen!"
Anyway, she adds, it's unnatural to look decades younger than you are.
"You have to embrace Mother Nature a little," the model and dancer says. "I'm a woman. I'm a wife. I'm a mother of four. I don't want to look like a 25-year-old anymore. I want to be my best healthy self."
Part of that includes the clothes she wears, which have an effect on her well-being.
"As a rule, I don't buy much black anymore," she says. "I want bright, happy colors. They just feel good."
Burke-Charvet, who underwent a thyroidectomy in December after a cancer scare, also talks in the interview about the value of regular medical care in early detection.
"Getting my diagnosis through a routine physical was pretty shocking," she says, "and a pretty important message for everyone to just be responsible enough to get regular checkups, to take care of your health, to be a good patient and to follow up."
