Our journey together for season 14 of The Biggest Loser has come to an end. Hopefully, you enjoyed Monday's finale!
Each season, I'm always nervous when first meeting the contestants and then uber-nervous for the live finale. What you don't see is that I go on stage right before the live show to say hi to the audience. The best part of that is to see my supportive family in the audience and to see all the alumni that come back year after year as their Biggest Loser family grows with each season.
It's always so fun to see some of the veterans return. I loved seeing Amanda, Sunshine, Estella and Jerry, Dan and Jackie and so many others.
This year's contestants are now part of that incredible family, who will embrace them and who knows better than anyone else what they battled when they were overweight and the massive transformations they've had.
Who was your favorite contestant this season? I loved so many of the transformations, including those of our final three, Joe, Gina, Lisa and everyone else from the season.
And, in true Biggest Loser fashion, always bet on pink! Congratulations to Danni and Jillian Michaels on winning the show through hard work, determination and trust in one another.
Also joining the club yesterday were the show's first childhood obesity ambassadors. These kids are just incredible examples of what kids everywhere hopefully will start to do – leave the video games behind, educate yourself on how to eat healthfully and focus on your health and attaining your goals.
At the finale, Sunny showed off her prom dress, Biingo learned he made the baseball team and Lindsay joined the cheerleading team. In the end, these kids all lost a tremendous amount of weight with their families and set the standard of what kids should strive to attain – health and happiness.
Speaking of kids, it's spring break next week for mine, and I can't wait to have fun adventures with them and a break from work myself. To keep up with what I'm doing, visit alisonsweeney.com and follow me on Twitter.
