Bindi Irwin Wants to Do More Acting
The wildlife expert, 14 – best known for appearing on her late father Steve Irwin's hit Animal Planet show The Crocodile Hunter – says she sees more movies in her future.
"I would love to expand my acting career and take on more roles, even if they do not directly have to do with wildlife," Bindi recently told PEOPLE.
When it comes to her time on Nim's Island, she has nothing but the fondest memories.
"I loved working on the film with such a brilliant cast and crew who were just as passionate about creating a beautiful movie for people of all ages to enjoy," she said. "When you work on a movie, the cast and crew become like family, which is really special."
Speaking especially highly of her costar, Toby Wallace, who played Edmund in the film, Bindi gushed that he's "a terrific actor and I had a wonderful time working with him. I really admired his acting skills, and I'm sure that he will go places."
When she's not acting or playing in the wild and spreading the word about conservation, which she calls, "my passion," Bindi says she "loves" to go bush hiking and stand-up paddle boarding in the ocean. She also enjoys reading, cooking, spending time at the Australia Zoo and being with her friends.
