The Nashville star, 24, confirmed her engagement to her world heavyweight champion boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko on Wednesday's LIVE with Kelly and Michael.
After flashing some major bling on her ring finger over the summer, the actress had remained mum on the status of her relationship with Klitschko, 37.
But when Panettiere appeared for her interview wearing a live boa constrictor in hopes of frightening Michael Strahan, who is terrified of snakes, Kelly Ripa found her sparkler a lot more interesting.
"I'm sort of distracted, not just by the snake, but there's a very large diamond ring on your ring finger. ... I'm not sure if you want to announce anything. … Does that signify anything, is that a promise of something?" Ripa asked.
"It might be ... I mean, I think it speaks for itself," Panettiere responded.
"Are you engaged?" Ripa replied.
"I am," Panettiere answered.

The couple – she's 5'2" and he's 6'6" – dated for two years and then split but reunited in February 2013, enjoying a taco date in Hollywood, Fla. A few months later, in May, Panettiere cheered for her man as he defended his WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles in Mannheim, Germany.
