Kate Middleton might have let slip last month that she's having a baby girl, but there's one thing she and Prince William definitely have not revealed: the name of the highly anticipated heir.

Oddsmakers in Britain, however, believe they know the answer to this burning royal question – and expect the world to herald Princess Alexandra in July.

The British betting firm of Coral has 2-1 odds on the name – slashed from 25-1 – after receiving an unusually large flurry of bets on it, reports the Associated Press. Rival betting firms also have Alexandra as the 2-1 favorite.

"It's the second biggest surge of bets we have witnessed since we were forced to suspend betting on the couple having a girl after Kate dropped a hint," according to a statement from Coral, reports Metro U.K.

The name Alexandra certainly has royal roots. Queen Alexandra ruled alongside husband King Edward VII after he ascended to the throne following his mother Queen Victoria's death in 1901. She is regarded as one of the most beautiful queens of England.

The current Queen Elizabeth also has a cousin named Princess Alexandra, 76, the youngest granddaughter of King George V.

Other names under consideration – at least for British bettors – include Diana and Elizabeth. Personally, we're wondering if Princess Pippa will make the short list!
