Parks and Recreation actress Aubrey Plaza wanted all to notice her two eye-catching accessories at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards. They were a cocktail, and the words "#The To Do List" scrawled on her chest in what appeared to be black eyeliner.

Well, everyone did notice. And it got the actress kicked out of the ceremony after she crashed Will Ferrell's acceptance speech for Comedic Genius.

"What's happening?" Ferrell asked as a barefoot Plaza stormed the stage, grabbing Ferrell's popcorn statue and attempting to wrench it from his hands – while also keeping a hold on her beverage.

"Are you okay?" Ferrell asked, not releasing the golden popcorn award, before Plaza scurried back to her seat, spilling her drink in the process.

The cameras panned to Plaza once she was seated, where she shook her head before offering an awkward smile to the cameras.

"I think she wanted to tell me something important, but there was no message," Ferrell later told MTV News.

Plaza referenced the awkward moment on Twitter, thanking well-known VMA stage-crasher Kanye West and oddly name-checking the empowerment series The Secret as well as Miami Heat player Chris Bosh.

Plaza's moment may have cost her her front-row seat at the awards – but it got people talking about her upcoming film, The To Do List, where she plays a college-bound woman checking items off her sexual bucket list before she starts school. Was it all an act to get her film some publicity – or was Plaza really drunk?

Ferrell has already weighed in on the encounter: "It was just a lot of hot liquor breath. And a little bit of sweat."
