The city of Boston is getting back on its feet.

Just two days after the devastating bombings at the Boston Marathon that left three dead and more than 170 wounded, residents gathered at Wednesday's Boston Bruins NHL game and showed their support for their town.

The solemn-looking crowd, holding up signs that said "Boston strong," chanted along to "The Star-Spangled Banner" as Rene Rancourt sang it.

Following the heartfelt rendition, the sports announcer credited Bruins coach Claude Julien for saying, "We have the ability to help people heal and find some reason to smile again by representing our city properly."

On Tuesday, President Barack Obama addressed the nation regarding the ongoing FBI investigation, saying, "This was a heinous and cowardly act. ... Any time bombs are used to target innocent civilians, it is an act of terror."
