It won't be an easy sweater to fill.

"There's only one person in this whole world like you," Fred Rogers liked to say on his long-running children's TV show. But now the difficult task begins of finding someone just like Mr. Rogers – or who can at least capture his essence – for an upcoming biopic.

A film about Rogers, who died in 2003 at age 74, is in the works at Treehouse Pictures based on a script by Alexis Jolly, a staff writer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Deadline.com reports.

"His keen ability to find the good in anyone, or anything, will make for a truly inspiring cinematic experience," producer Justin Nappi says of the film, which is expected to be called A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.

But who could carry the lead as the iconic, laconic neighbor? Rogers had such a signature style that it may well take someone with chameleonic talents to embody it. Some of today's leading comic actors might be able to pull it off – if they can channel his childlike gentleness and pure optimism.

We've offered a few ideas below. Let us know who you would choose, or tell us in the comments.
