In honor of the holiday, here are five drink recipes to ensure your celebration is muy bueno.
Skinnygirl Mexican Margarita
Handful of frozen grapes
Skinnygirl Sweet 'n Tart Grapefruit Margarita
Sugar or Splenda for rim
Lime garnish (optional)
Coat the rim of a margarita glass with sugar. Pour the grapefruit margarita mixture over the frozen grapes. Garnish with a lime (optional).
Pineapple Serrano Margarita
2 oz. tequila (recipe recommends Herradura Silver)
3 cubic inches of diced pineapple
¾ oz. lime juice
½ oz. simple syrup
3 slices of serrano pepper with seeds
Crush the pineapple and chili slices in the base of a shaker with a muddler. Add the cubed ice and the remaining ingredients. Shake hard and strain over ice in an old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a chili and a star anise pod.

4 parts red wine (recipe recommends Clos du Bois Red Blend 2009)
1 part blood orange liqeur (recipe recommends Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur)
1 part rum (recipe recommends Bacardi Superior)
1 part pineapple juice
1 part freshly squeezed lime
1 part freshly squeezed lemon
1 orange slice squeezed into each glass
Freshly grated nutmeg in each glass
Pour the wine into your pitcher, and squeeze the juice wedges from the lemon and lime into the wine. Add the blood orange liquor and rum. Chill overnight. Add the orange and nutmeg before serving over ice.
Blood Orange Margarita
1½ parts tequila (recipe recommends Tequila Avión)
¾ part orange liqueur (recipe recommends Cointreau)
1 part blood orange juice
½ part fresh sour mix
In a cocktail shaker, add all ingredients with ice. Shake and strain. This margarita is best served over fresh ice and garnished with an orange twist.
¾ oz. fresh-squeezed lime juice
¾ oz. simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water)
1½ oz. reposado tequila (recipe recommends Avión Reposado)
Fresh red pepper
Rub the rim of your glass with a wedge of fresh lime, and dip into some salt. Add some spice to your margarita by muddling a piece of red pepper and a little bit of cilantro to bring out their natural flavors. Add the tequila, lime juice and simple syrup, and then fill your mixing glass with ice. Give your cocktail a good shake to chill, and strain it into your salted glass. Garnish with a piece of red pepper and cilantro.
