I'm so excited to start blogging for PEOPLE.com again. It's insane how much can change in a year, but the community I've felt on here made last year one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.
Now the crazy part … two weeks after my last chemo treatment I decided I wanted to live. Like really live and as cheesy and cliché as this sounds I felt this nagging desire to return to the MTV Challenges and compete amongst the crazies.
Sounds a bit insane on my part, but I never want to miss a opportunity due to cancer. I'm ready to live passionately! So I will be blogging every Thursday here on PEOPLE.com, talking about the show and, more importantly, talking about some of the issues the show happened to bring up.
I had no idea how broken down I was after my last cancer battle, but this upcoming Challenge made the battle scars cancer left behind visible, raw and real.
I'm excited to start the conversation again and become a community of fighters, survivors and those who can simply understand. Every flaw we see in ourselves is conquerable if you want to be active in taking the power back in your life.
So come back here every Thursday so we can laugh at ourselves, learn from each other and build the bridge to becoming the best version of ourselves as possible.
Cheers, D :)
