Cheryl Burke (left) and Paula Deen
has been all but paralyzed by the scandal
surrounding her admission that she used the N-word
in the past. But Cheryl Burke
has an idea to how to get her moving again – have her join next season's Dancing with the Stars
"I think you'd probably see a different side of her, and I think she would be a great addition to the cast," the pro dancer, 29, tells ET Canada
"I think coming on something light and fun would be something good for her," Burke adds.
Deen, 66, has reportedly been courted by the ABC show in the past. "They did ask me and I said no," she told Extra
in 2010. "Fat girls don't look good sweating. I've got catfish arms ... And I've got – is that a muffin top right there?"
With the collapse of her empire
over the past month, though, she might see things differently. She has also slimmed down quite a bit
since that interview.
On a separate note, Burke also addressed rumors that the DWTS
judging panel – with long-timers Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli – might see a shake-up this fall.
"I don't really know exactly what's going to happen with the judges, but I love all three," she said. "I think it would be great to have a guest judge come in every single week."
