TV host Stacy Keibler says that her so-called desire to be married was not to blame for her recent split
with George Clooney
The couple, who confirmed their break-up last week, had dated for two years.
"Actually, everyone that knows me thinks that's the funniest story," Keibler, 33, told Good Morning America"
's Elizabeth Vargas on Wednesday, shooting down reports that it was her desire for motherhood and marriage that caused the breakup.
"That's the last thing on my mind," Keibler said. "I don’t really think about that right now. We didn't discuss that."
Whatever the reason, which was not discussed on the show, the couple's parting was indeed amicable, confirmed Keibler, who is set to host a new Lifetime show, Supermarket Superstar
"Yes, absolutely," she said of their friendship after break-up.
While Clooney, 52, was all smiles
as he hung out with friends in Italy days last week, Keibler enjoyed a sunny bike ride
in Los Angeles last Saturday, also wearing her own big smile.
"I'm doing great, thank you," an upbeat Keibler assured Vargas.
