It's been seven weeks since Kim Kardashian gave birth to daughter North, but the new mom came out of hiding Friday – appearing in a taped video message on her mom Kris Jenner's talk show.
Dressed in a white shirt, the 32-year-old was shown from the chest up as she wished her mother congratulations on her new show, Kris.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be there in person, but I'm just loving life a little bit too much at home right now," she said. "But I watch you every single day and you are so amazing. You really are born to do this. I just want to say I love you and have an amazing show."
Guest host Sean "Diddy" Combs set up the clip by pretending it was a preview of his new cable network, Revolt, and as Jenner watched it, she teared up. "That made me cry ... Thank you, Kimmy, thank you Sean," she said, dabbing at her eyes with a towel.
Kardashian looked slimmer in the short video and a source close to the star tells PEOPLE that she has "lost a lot of her baby weight." Jenner said during the show on Friday that her daughter was "eating really well and working out and nursing."
