Proud papa Kanye West unveiled the first photograph of his and Kim Kardashian's daughter since she was born on June 15, providing a candid shot to the public on the Kris Jenner Show Friday.
"To stop all the noise, I thought it'd be really cool, on her grandmother's season finale, to bring a picture of North," West said after clarifying they "have not attempted to get paid" for the image.
The photograph, shot by West himself, features Kardashian holding their 10-week-old daughter, who is reaching toward the camera.
During the interview, West declared his devotion to Kardashian, 32. "She's my joy and she brought my new joy into the world," he stated.
West, 36, also divulged that after the death of his mother, Donda West, he would sometimes feel hopeless, but his new family has changed his outlook to an optimistic one.
"After I lost my mother, there were times I felt I would put my life at risk," he said. "I felt like sometimes I didn't have something to live for. Now I have two really special people to live for, a whole family to live for, a whole world to live for."
Although North was photographed with her parents at a funeral for West's grandfather Portwood Williams, Sr. in Oklahoma on Saturday, she was covered up with a blanket, revealing only her tiny feet.
