It's the ultimate NSFW fantasy for anyone who's ever experienced, um, creative differences with a boss (or, you know, watched Office Space).

But how do you quit your job?

As a video of a woman dancing her way to fun-employment goes viral, here are eight ways to clock out of that 9-5 for good.

1. Create a viral video

Any doubt that Marina Shifrin learned a thing or two at her job was shattered when, well, she quit said job. After clocking in long hours for Taiwanese animator Next Media Animation, she put one of her late shifts to use by whipping up a now-viral video announcing her resignation to the tune of – what else? – Kanye West's "Gone." A documented after-hours dance party and more than 3 million clicks later, her boss accepted her resignation. And disgruntled employees everywhere started hiring choreographers.

2. Jump ship – literally

After an unruly passenger reportedly left him with a cut on his head in August 2010, JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater announced that he himself had to take off and activated the emergency slide to make a quick exit. Although he later apologized for his actions, to many an office underdog, he's still oh-so-fly.

3. Insult your boss

This employee's resignation turned out to be a hoax

TheChive.com

Normally we don't recommend emailing 33 selfies – actually, any amount of selfies – to your office listserv. But in a hoax that swept the Internet back in 2010, this wannabe broker (who once appeared on PEOPLE.com as an Angelina Jolie lookalike!) emailed the entire office 33 photos outlining her reasons for quitting – all scrawled out on a dry-erase board. The problem? Her boss. And his bad breath. And the fact he apparently called her a "hot piece of a–" and spent nearly 20 hours a week on Farmville. It was a joke – but the hope it gave unpaid assistants everywhere was real.

4. Do it in 140 characters

Jonathan Schwartz's Twitter

Short ... but not so sweet. Sun Microsystems CEO Jonathan Schwartz, an early adopter of social networking, combined Japanese tradition with 21st century sensibility when he quit the tech company via Twitter ... with a Haiku. "Financial crisis/Stalled too many customers/CEO no more," Schwartz Tweeted in February 2010.

5. Be as cold as ice, ice baby

Spicy, bold, unapologetic – are we talking about a burrito or this Moe's Southwest Grill manager's resignation? Ditching his gig at the fast food chain in a video that circulated in 2007, this former employee jumped on the counter and ripped off his shirt, revealing the words "I QUIT!" Then, before walking out, he lip-synched "Ice Ice Baby" (complete with backup-dancers), grabbed his last paycheck and announced, "I'm out." Resignation is best served cold, guys.

6. Make a game out of it

Jarrad Woods's resignation

Game developer Jarrad Woods (a.k.a. Farbs) ditched his lucrative gig with 2K Australia by – what else? – developing a game. (How fun!) In his version of Super Mario Bros., Farbs wrote, "My princess is in another castle."

7. Call a press conference

Amid rumors of a criminal investigation, Sarah Palin gathered the press to announce her resignation as governor of Alaska in July 2009. She didn't take questions, but between basketball and "dead fish" analogies, Palin ended her speech, well, open-ended: "Take the words of General MacArthur. He said, 'We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.' "

8. Perform a scene

We're going to go out on a limb here and say this is the the grandest entrance a car factory cafeteria has ever seen. An employee going by the name "guywiththeglasses" held up a boombox playing the theme to 2001: A Space Odyssey, but by the end of the video, he's ripped open his shirt to reveal "I QUIT!" written on his chest. He exits to Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," and all around the world, microphones simultaneously dropped.
